Hmmm... bfor u read this blog question urself
1.When will you be HAPPY?
2.What makes you HAPPY?
got the answers...??Well in a recent 'research' about this topic I realised that when I was in 10th class, happiness 4 me was to get a gud rank and I achieved it but still I set my mind that I can be happy only if I get a gud rank in 12th for Engineering.I got a gud rank but I wasnt happy cos I set my mind that once I get gud percentage in Engineering I can be happy but to my surprise I set my mind again (after getting a gud grade in engg.) that I can be happy only after getting a gud job and so on.....
When I look back now all I did was "I Postponed my Happiness..."
Better late than never!! Now I realise that happiness is something we get in this present moment, its NOW.
There are two ways to be happy, minimize your needs and live in harmony with the circumstances. So "Live this present Moment..."

My First Blog (Global Servie day)
One of those days when we were idling away our time in office, there was this announcement about the Global Service Day. Jumping at the chance to do something different from our daily work, a bunch of us, enthusiasts signed up for it.After waiting eagerly to do some physical work which would obviously be tougher than the white-collar work that we always do, the D-day finally arrived, but we guys reached a bit late to the Shrishti Academy where we were supposed to paint the walls because of the world-famous-never-ending-Bangalore traffic. And much to our embarrassment, there were other people who had already started work in the school . The whole environment looked fabulous with all the volunteers wanting to show off their talent in things other than the computer.. We also joined the whole group and started the work.
We were asked to paint a classroom, and were given a bucket of paint. We, software engineers who thought that painting a classroom is as simple as painting a blank file in MSPaint using all the colors given in the palette then knew that it wasnt as simple as we thought. We didnt know how to mix the paint and so had to call the Project Manager, who for this project is the main painter. After taking instructions about the mixing of the paint and the ratio of the ingredients, we started about with our project for the day. Being the techies that we were, we used a Waterfall model for the execution of this project. We made a design; we broke the work manually, though we didnt have the Work Breakdown Structure and made the head-start. As decided, we started off with painting the roof. (We are the software engineers who believe in 'Aim at high' and so we started by aiming at the roof!).
In between whenever one of us got tired, we took comp-offs and other person filled in for his work. Once we completed each wall, we would sit and admire it as if it were a piece of art and we also considered signing at the end of the wall, just the way those great painters do for their paintings. When reality hit us that our painting is not that good, and that the kids who would study in that classroom might even joke about the painters of the wall, we thought we would write the names of our project managers.(The real ones at work, not the main painter. Just hoping my manager is not reading this!:))With all the josh that we had reserved from the past few days, we painted almost the whole room, but used up most of the paint which was later told to us that it was meant for the whole school. And the poor painters who then came down to resume our suspended work had to redo the whole room, and we showed our techie brains when we asked them to record this time of theirs under 'Rework' section.
Once we got the real painters to fill in for us, we went on to have a sumptuous meal cooked by the workers of the school. And thank God for little favors, coz this lunch was far better than the one we have at the cafeteria at work! After the lunch and another session of ragging each other over the project for the day, we decided to call it a day.
But not before a couple of realizations struck us-
1. The poor school kids and the state of their school made us realize that we are far more luckier to get good education.
2. The tired feeling our bodies felt at the end of the day brought us the thought of the laborers who toil in the hot sun for a minimal amount of money all so that they can feed their family.
And we made a mental note that before cribbing next time about a white-collared job and the pay all the while sitting in an air-conditioned room , we better think about the millions of such laborers.
With these thoughts in our heart, and the decision to take them to the mind, we went off to carry on with our day, cherishing the memories of the day forever...
